The libraries which are available to all students, are combined within the Joint Documentation Department (SCD). They contain over 450,000 books and an online catalogue.
The PERSEE (Perseus) portal is a new tool for broadcasting scientific and technical information in the field of humanities and social sciences (SHS), initiated by the Ministry of Education, Higher Education and Research with the technological support of the National Higher Education Centre of Computer Technology (CINES), and carried out by a consortium of public establishments managed by University Lumière Lyon 2. It enables French research to become more widely visible and available improving its integration into the international scientific community.
Dedicated to retrospective collections of representative reviews of French research in the field of humanities and social sciences, this portal combines image and text broadcasting of the entire collections with specific consultation and research services tailored to the needs of the scientific community.
Access is free but copyright must be observed given that the authors' consent is required for any electronic broadcasting of their contributions.
